Miss Ivy Wilde organized a screening of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival at a meeting of the North West Burlesque Society in Manchester, England. The proceeds from the screening were earmarked for The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, NV.
November 2015–Ottawa, ON Fundraiser
Kitty Kin-Evil hosted a screening of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival in Ottawa, ON to benefit The Burlesque Hall Of Fame and to help assist burlesque legends in attending BHOF weekend.
July 2015–QFest Houston
Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival screened as a part of QFest Houston, “a sponsored project of The Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP), a 501c3 dedicated to promoting the creation and appreciation of film, video, and new media as art forms of a multicultural community”.
June 2014–Elsewhere and Otherwise
Red Tremmel, Director of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival traveled to The Performing Arts Forum in St. Erme, France to hold seminars and share his research on “spaces of play and pleasure, including the body, as historically significant sites of social struggle where people negotiate complex constellations of power”.

Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival screened at the Monkey House in Winooski, VT as a part of the Vermont Burlesque Festival. Also screening was the short documentary It’s All That Glitters – What is burlesque? by Brian James.
November 2013–Outtakes from the Film Available on The EWBR YouTube Channel
The makers of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival have been busy scouring the archives, looking for outtakes from the documentary to post. Beginning in November with an outtake featuring the legendary Dixie Evans in her beloved museum, video clips will be available to view on the EWBR YouTube channel.

Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival screened at The University of Arizona Women’s Resource Center as a part of the Feminist Film Series.
August 4, 2013–R.I.P. Dixie Evans
Dixie Evans was made of stardust and other things. She passed away in Las Vegas yesterday at the age of 86. Dixie was a force and spirit like no other. She generously conjured a ceremonial home at Exotic World for a whole generation of striptease artists, rebels, misfits and outsiders. She honored the wit and artistry of strippers by building the only museum in the world dedicated to them. And with a dream and a social security check, she steadfastly transformed the erotic and gender politics of our time. She will reverberate through our lives and on stages across the world hereafter. In honor of her, during Dixie Evans Week, Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival will be screening in Helsinki.
August 2013–Helsinki, Finland Screening During “Dixie Evans Week”
Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival screened in Helsinki, Finland as a part of “Dixie Evans Week”, a multi-event, international observance of Dixie’s contributions to the Burlesque community and the preservation of the history of Burlesque.
June 2013–Amsterdam Screening at the Sandberg Institute
Director Red Tremmel traveled to Amsterdam by invitation of the Sandberg Institute to screen Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival. In addition to the screening, Red gave a talk at the Goethe Institute.
April 2013–Evergreen State College Screening
The Evergreen program Queer Pleasure and Politics presented Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival. The screening was preceded with a lecture by EW director Red Tremmel and was followed with a Q&A. Producer Courtney Hermann and editor Kerribeth Elliott were also in attendance.
March 2013–Boston Screening Announced
2013 marks the 7th year of “The Great Burlesque Exposition”, a Boston Burlesque festival. Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival is proud to be featured among the weekend’s activities.
March 2013–Special Screening in Tucson
Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival enjoyed a special screening of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival, followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Red Tremmel and a burlesque show in Tucson, AZ at Fluxx Studio and Gallery. Donations from the event went to the Institute of LGBT Studies at the University of Arizona.
February 2013–Exotic World at the Big Sky Documentary Festival
Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival screened at the 10th annual Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Missoula, MT in February. Producer Courtney Hermann and Editor Kerribeth Elliott were on hand.

September 2012–New York Premiere of Exotic World at the 12th Annual Coney Island Film Festival
Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival screened on Sunday, September 23rd at the Coney Island museum. Co-Producer Jessica Halem and Post-Production Coordinator Ali Cotterill were on hand representing the Exotic World team.
September 2012–The Portland, OR Premiere of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival
The Portland premiere of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival was on September 29th at 7:30pm at the historic Hollywood Theatre as a part of NW Documentary’s screening series. A great crowd showed up to see the film. Producer Courtney Hermann and Editor Kerribeth Elliott were on hand to introduce the film and answer questions afterwards.
September 2012–Exotic World Encore Screening at dOCUMENTA
Due to the popularity of the World Premiere screening of Exotic World at dOCUMENTA in Kassel, Germany in June, dOCUMENTA programmers organized two showings of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival at the closing of the exhibition on September 8th.
June 2012–WORLD PREMIERE of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival
EWBR Director Red Tremmel and artist/EWBR crew member Ruth Robbins travelled to Kassel, Germany for the 2012 dOCUMENTA art exhibition where they installed an exhibit called on Burlesque, which was open for 100 days. Then, on June 10th, Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival enjoyed a world premiere at this important exhibition of modern art–an event that only happens once every 5 years and features art from around the world.
Finally! We have worked all year long, slogging through our final post-production ups and downs, and are poised to get this film out into the world! The first DVDs are slated to ship in the Fall to our much beloved Kickstarter supporters.
October 2011–Preview Cut Screening at Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival
A special preview of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival will screen as a part of the 20th Annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival in Hot Springs, Arkansas, followed by a performance from local burlesque troupe, Foul Play Cabaret.
June 2011–Sneak Preview Slated for the 2011 Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend
Director Red Tremmel and crew will travel to the 2011 Burlesque Hall of Fame Reunion in Las Vegas, NV to show a sneak preview of Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival.

April 2011–Red Tremmel Screens Preview Cut at Tulane University
As a part of the Newcomb Feminist Film Series, Dr. Red Tremmel, Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival director and Tulane University faculty member, presented a preview cut of the documentary at the Woldenberg Art Center. The event included a special panel discussion and a reception after the screening.
January 2011–Margaret Cho Performs Narration
The Exotic World crew traveled to Los Angeles, CA to record the film’s narration. Jessy Hoffman offered recording skills and Margaret Cho generously provided voice talent. You can hear Margaret’s first narration cue in the updated clip posted here on the EW website.
September 2010–Post-Production in Full Swing
Under the watchful eye of Editor Kerribeth Elliott, Exotic World and the Burlesque Revival is in rough cut form and is inching closer to final cut every day!
